Glenna Freedman Public Relations is a public relations firm specializing in Broadway and Off-Broadway shows; authors; celebrities and not-for -profit organizations. Interns will assist in publicizing the company’s clients. Glenna Freedman has been in the business for over two decades and is highly regarded in the industry.

Interns work involves direct contact with the media, arranging and covering press interviews, writing and editing press releases, assisting in special event planning, and general office duties which include: answering phones, filing, e-mail blasts, updating lists and dealing with social media.

Media contact also includes arranging coverage on TV and radio shows, as well as creating newspaper and magazine stories. The program is ideal for interns majoring in communications, journalism, theater or English. Interns should have a general interest in theatre and communications. Excellent communication, computer and writing skills are a must.

Interns gain a thorough understanding of public relations in the most demanding city in the world for the arts and the theater, as well as make many connections in the industry.
